What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain the AFC Global Risk Appetite Statement for digital assets, set out what is not acceptable activity or what is acceptable to only a limited extent within DB through industry research and analysis
  • Lead front-to-back review of AFC digital assets controls against emerging risks, existing policies, regulatory adherence and thematic reviews
  • Contribute to the development of Digital Asset Minimum Control Standards
  • Conduct new digital asset product and service risk assessments, assessing Inherent Risk, Control Effectiveness and Residual Risk
  • Create metrics that monitor the effectiveness of the AFC digital asset appetite statement and AFC digital asset controls (such as Know Your Transaction solutions
  • Supplement Deutsche Bank's applicable governance policies, minimum standards and governance frameworks to ensure AFC's continued compliance with global digital asset regulation, represent AFC on relevant projects and initiatives across Deutsche Bank; providing education on related AFC risk and considerations, and help continue to refine the AFC internal framework around digital asset products and services such as policy updates, know your client (KYC) requirements whilst raising awareness across business and AFC functions of the related AFC risk profiles

How You'll Lead
  • Understanding and presenting digital asset risk appetite to AFC and business stakeholders
  • Working autonomously in a global team and dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Leading the development and maintenance of Risk Assessment and Risk Appetite Statement artifacts

Skills You'll Need
  • Previous AFC experience within financial services or in related control functions, with a proven track record of delivery
  • Previous experience within financial services of Risk Assessment analytics
  • Expert understanding of the risks related to digital assets, crypto currencies, blockchain and existing global regulation
  • Demonstrate integrity in all dealings with colleagues, customers, regulators and other professionals; and to drive and promote the company values and ethical framework
  • Knowledge of typical banking products and services, and their application to digital assets

Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • A team player able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet competing/changing deadlines
  • Demonstrate a desire to learn/work on new content and understand the underlying reasons for Risk Assessments and Risk Appetite Statements
  • Able to identify and influence key resources independently, display excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and ability to tailor communication to various audiences

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $120,000 to $200,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
